Wixie is an online publishing and creativity platform that lets students share what they know through their writing, their voice, and their art. If your child is using Wixie at school, they can also access this powerful tool at home.

Wixie makes learning fun, giving students the tools to developing essential skills for the 21st century.

Accessing Wixie on your home devices

Wixie is a cloud service that runs in a browser on Windows, Macintosh, and Chromebooks, and as an app on iPads and Android tablets.

Your browser will need to have Flash installed.

If you are using a tablet, you can download apps for the iPad (iPad 2 or later), Android (7" or larger), and Kindle Fire HD.

Login Information

K-5 students use FCPS username and password.

The link to access Wixie is also available inside your child’s Blackboard account. Click the eCART tab and then on the Digital Ecosystem Core Tools menu.

Your child will log in to Wixie using:

Your child’s username: Student ID number                         Password: His or her FCPS network password

 

Wixie runs on a variety of devices, including:

iPads through an iPad app available in the App Store.

Android tablets through an app*  available on Google Play.

*Requires minimum resolution of 960 x 720.

Kindle Fire HDs through through Amazon.

Chromebooks through an app available at the Chrome Store.

Windows and OSX computers with Flash 11-capable browsers.
